Abhijeet Sawant Indian Idol. What next?

After 7 months of hard work and beating 1000's of contestants, Abhijeet is THE Indian idol. No doubt, he is going to be a part of our life for ever now due to his immense talent and the bright future that is awaiting for him. No doubt some day we will be hearing songs of Abhijeet with Kavita krishnamurthy or Lata mangeskar. Now what is next in store for him is very exiting. The popularity of the Indian idol finals could be thought of with the number of sms that reached some where near to 3 crores. Now finally sony tv has something to be proud of with the long awaited success with this. The point is how it is going to milk the success of Indian idol the most popular show ever staged on sony.It will also be interesting, how the other contestants of Indian Idol like Paul, Rahul, Prajakta etc is being taken by the bollywood and the music industry. I am sure many of them might have signed several contracts by now. In addition, most of us will be eager to hear our favorite Ravinder Ravi. Several people gave me a mail that they want to donate something for Ravi for his future, but I would say that don't pity on him. He will also make it and just your good wishes would be enough for

Abhijeet was best today at Indian Idol

Today, Abhijeet performance was above par and I am sure if he enters the bollywood right now, he would give the best of singers run for their money. Now, it does not matters who wins the Indian Idol but after hearing criminal song "Tum mile" from Abhijeet, I am assured once again that he is the best.Amit Sana was also good today and as usual, Rahul sang like a mimicry artist, a copycat of Sonu Nigam. Sudhesh Bhosle is enough and we don't want another like him. Anybody comes out of Indian Idol as a winner; I just want he should have a voice of his own. If Abhijeet is not in the finals then there is no point in watching Indian Idol anymore. I think most of you would agree. :)

Abhijeet was no doubt the best. I am not sure how he did all this but there is a sea change in the quality and variation in the singing style of Abhijeet at Indian Idol. He is no doubt the Indian Idol for me as of now. Amit Sana is a very good singer but it was evident today that he has a bad throat. I would rate him with Abhijeet.Rahul was good but not as like the other 2 male singers. He must try to sing in his own voice and should not try to emulate someone else.Prajakta was very bad today and she is for sure going out tomorrow. My rating for today:1. Abhijeet & Amit Sana3. Rahul4. Prajakta.

Visitors for my blog have made me realise with their mails that the show must go on and I should follow Indian Idol till the last episode. Now lets start it with the mails I got:I support your view fully. Unfortunately, our so-called judges want to show that western attitude. Indian Idol is not about looks but the voice. Something, which should attract everyone. In American Idol, twice the blacks have won the idol. However, unfortunately in India it is discrimination between high society and low...Even though he was a painter he did work hard. Maybe he was not fit to be an idol but that does not mean he has to be ill-treated. In fact, Sonu has no right to say to him that he is the cause for the good singers getting out. Otherwise, why will he get out? Believe me.. Music doesn’t mean Hindi, it also includes a lot of languages from north and south.. I hope he does come up in the later stages becoz of his voice. He surely cannot afford training becoz of his financial status. but appreciate him becoz he worked hard.

Indian idol is great show except the hyperbolic comments of judges. They shower so much praise on some of their favorites and criticize too much the poor Ravinder. I feel the judges and host show some respect for the participant who has reached the level of last five. This is indirectly a insult to viewers who have voted Ravinder till last five rounds. It is true then Ravinder was better than Prajakta in last round where he lost to Prajakta. I respect his maturity and patience and wonder how the other participants willkeep thier moral high if such nasty unwanted comments are passed against them.I personally feel for some types of songs Ravinder's voice is best among all the contestants and his handwork and luck will help him to come at the top.

I started the blog with an intention to have a healthy discussion on Indian Idol. I think I have succeeded in it a bit. Now, I could see that we have 2 groups between us. One who respect the people verdict and support Ravinder as he is, and the other group which speaks more like all the 3 judges at Indian Idol. What majority of people think is always not right and what expert think too is always not true or else we would not had a star like Amitabh Bachchan. Remember, he was thrown out of every directors office as they thought he could not act or he did not had face for camera. 1 director gave him chance and people made him star overnight. 10's of so-called expert directors rejected him and people accepted him in one go. Now in Indian Idol, if people are voting for Ravinder, there might be something in him other then financial background (suggested by most of the visitors). Experts can miss that SOMETHING.

All Individuals and Shows get SUCCESS through people’s opinion all over the world and India is no exception to this. People of India alone have given success to famous singers like Lata, Asha, M. Rafi, Mukesh. to today’s Sonu Nigam. Whatever marks Sonu Nigam might have got from Judges he would not have reached the position where he is today without peoples liking for him. He and Anu Malik attained today’s fame because people liked them. When selection of Indian Idol is left to people of India we should honor their decision as we have honored in the past without any discrimination and should not blame Ravinder Ravi for the failure of the outgoing participants at Indian Idol. Despite objectionable comments by all the three judges of the competition since last couple of shows, Indian Public is consistently choosing Ravinder Ravi at Indian Idol because they like him. All the judges should try to understand this truth and honor the public opinion instead of influencing the public voting through imposition of their views.

Indian Idol - A Great Concept - Do we understand it however?

Indian idol started with the idea of selecting one singer among the thousands of contestents. However, the point to note is it was like any other show upto the selection of best thirty candidates wherein judges shortlisted the contestents. Then, came the real fun!Upto this point, it was like any other show such as the famous one, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.So, people lets understand that this is no more sa re gama pa where in variety of judges shortlist and make one singer as topmost singer out of competition that spans over months. Now, Indian idol is all about indian audience. Is there any reason why one movie hits and other flops? Could anybody site any reason? It is totally incomprehensible and left many film producers and directors guessing all the time and making mistakes quite often intheir judgement.Indian idol programme is not about music competition any more. It means much more than that.I have always been fan of Aditi. But since she didnt sung well, she got voted out. Now, for god sake, dont blame Ravinder for this. If Farha Khan wants to blame, blame India and Indian audience. I always voted for Amit Sana/Abhijeet this week. However, I respect indian audience choice. Lets all respect that and understand clearly that what indian idol programme is all about. If you want good singers, arrange another programme with variety of judges for that and don't allow india to vote. If we are expecting India to be of Anu Malik or Sonu Nigam type who are so expert with music, we are somewhere wrong in making our expectations!Let's retrospect.

I am infected with Indian Idol BUG, what about you. As Sony puts it for Indian Idol contest "Sab kuch bhula de", is very true. As we all know that we Indians have a soft corner for light and sweet music which is there in tons at the show. Indian Idol is a desi version of American Idol that is being aired at Star World whose last year winner was Fantasia Barrino and his albums after that were I Believe, Chain of Fools, and summertime. Indian audience love this type of shows which could be seen by huge success of Antyakchari which is being aired till date on Zee Tv. Don't miss any of the Indian Idol episodes and get INFECTED. :)

My favorite and I love his songs and put him just after Kishore kumar. It is difficult, but Sonu Nigam has proved it that you could be successful in both Indipop and Play back singing. Sonu Nigam son of Agam Kumar a music enthusiast was born in Faridabad, Haryana. Sonu had a long struggle period and his carrer took of with when he was spotted by Gulshan Kumar and sang Achha sila diya tune mere pyaar ka from movie Bewafa Sanam. He become more famous with Saregama a singing competition show on Zee TV. Sandese aate hain was his first major hit, which were chart busters for a long time. After that, he is growing every day and I wish we would be getting best songs from him in near future too. Sonu, please do more albums too as they are the one which I like most. Anu MalikPlagiarizing and rehashing tunes is some of the things critics say about Anu Malik but the truth is that he is one of the most sought music director in the film industry now. Son of great music director Sardar Malik, Anu Malik's debut film was Aapas Ki Baat. The turning point in his career was much later with Radha Ka Sangam followed by Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayi which brought much of critical acclaim. After this, there was no looking back.Farah KhanOne could say that innovation in dance direction was brought first by Farah Khan in India. She not only does dance direction for her numbers but also take a major seat in determining camera movements, camera angles, set design and even costumes. She is one of the most successful dance directors in Indian film industry today. Some of her great work could be seen in Dil To Pagal Hai, Kaho Na Pyar Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Dil Se and Monsoon Wedding.
